("Spunchy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application and services, including intercity carpooling, intracity carpooling, car travel, bike travel, and car rental services.

By accessing or using the Spunchy platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Vehicle information (for drivers): registration number, model, insurance details

Device information: model, operating system, unique device identifiers

4. Sharing of Information

4.1 With Other Users

When you book or offer a ride, limited profile information (name, photo, vehicle details, and rating) is shared with the co-passenger or driver to facilitate the trip. No payment-related data is shared through the platform, as Spunchy does not process or handle any payments between users.

4.2 With Service Providers

We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform, including cloud hosting, analytics, mapping, and customer support services. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use your data for independent purposes.

4.3 For Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Spunchy, our users, or the public.

4.4 No Sale of Personal Data

Spunchy does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.

5. Location Data

Spunchy collects precise location data to match drivers and riders, provide navigation support, and ensure trip safety. Location tracking is active only while the app is in use during an active trip. You may disable location permissions from your device settings, but this may limit the functionality of the app. We do not retain location data beyond what is necessary for completing and auditing a trip.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required to provide services. Account data is deleted within 90 days of a deletion request, except where retention is required by law or for dispute resolution. Trip history and safety logs may be retained for up to 3 years in compliance with applicable regulations.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. While we take every precaution, no system is completely immune to breaches. In the event of a significant data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
